Mountain Mann Wilderness Survival Class July/13/2019

Mountain Mann Wilderness Survival Class July/13/2019

This 1-day course is designed to be an introduction to the fundamentals of survival.  It is a great way for beginners who are not yet comfortable with the forest and how to deal with wilderness emergencies.  It’s also a great way for even experienced outdoors people to learn or refresh important fundamental skills. This class allows beginners to acquire basic backcountry, camping and bushcraft, and survival skills while building their confidence in the woods, and it allows those with more experience to build on, and improve, what they already know.
No matter your skill level or background is, you’ll learn the same approach to protecting yourself and others in a wilderness or SHTF emergency.

From beginner to advanced, my instructions are focuses on The Seven Priorities of Survival: “survival psychology, scene safety, shelter, fire, signaling, water, and food”.  I place particular emphasis on the ability to build appropriate shelters and to always be prepared to build a fire, even in the pouring rain.

None of my courses require any previous experience; simply bring the required items from the equipment list which you will receive upon registration and payment.

My survival classes are primarily held in Clinton and Lycoming Counties in North Central Pennsylvania on private property. The location will be disclosed upon successful registration and payment.

I’ll be providing a cooked over fire Trout and soup lunch with all the fixings along with snacks and bottled ice water with some basic tools and a personalized certificate upon successful completion.
