WATCH: Thousands of arachnids recorded in Alaska


An Alaska man living in Dillingham posted the video he captured outside his home, showing him brushing his hand through dozens of the creatures.
"Dipdooly is what they are called out here, I don’t know if they use that name in other areas," said Thomas Glass, who found the bundle of arachnids.
The creatures themselves, colloquially known as "daddy long legs," are opiliones, also known as harvesters. While they're arachnids, they're not technically spiders.
