I wasn't fast enough with the camera. But this is a Black Bear with Mange. Feeding Bear's only hurt's them by spreading the Mange. Please don't feed the Bears in Central Pennsylvania. #BlackBearMangeEpidemic  🐻🐻🐻



Hopefully, this new treatment will provide a cure for all Bears. Wild Life Center’s research fellow. Dr. Peach is conducting a study of a new drug used for treating bear mange. If proven safe and successful, this one-time treatment could be applied in the field, which means fewer afflicted bears would need to go through the stress of capture, transport, and treatment at a wildlife rehabilitation center. #BlackBearMangeEpidemic

PITTSBURGH - Authorities say a sickly bear wasting away with an advanced case of mange was trapped in western Pennsylvania and euthanized. The Pennsylvania Game Commission had been seeking the adult female since residents reported it near Kittanning recently. #BlackBearMangeEpidemic
